One flat daily rate covers all your tolls.

Purchase by accepting the service at the counter or upon return, or by opening the transponder box, and use any all-electronic tollway where coverage is available. All-inclusive charges shown on your rental receipt upon return.*

*Customers who open the transponder box and incur a toll will see the PlatePass All-Inclusive Rate charged to their credit card on file, post-rental.

Usage Day

Cost of each toll at the highest undiscounted rate, plus admin fee per day of toll usage.

Post-rental toll charges. PlatePass will bill you for the cost of all tolls you incurred, plus an administrative fee of $9.99 for each calendar day when tolls are incurred.

Direct Toll Pay

Self pay tolls where available.

Where compatible, use your personal account or transponder to pay as you go, or pay the toll authority directly, where available. Some tollways and bridges accept cash or have direct pay options on their website. For all other tolls, PlatePass will bill you per Usage Day terms.*

*Charges usually appear on the credit card statement within 1-3 weeks after the rental agreement has closed.

After your rental, we’ll charge you for every toll you went through, plus an admin fee for each day you incurred a toll.

If you prefer to not use PlatePass All-Inclusive or Usage Day, you may:

Use your own toll transponder. Must be compatible with the tollway, fully funded and properly mounted. If your transponder fails to register a toll, you will be billed per your Usage Day terms.
Utilize local toll agency payment options (where available).
Avoid the use of toll roads.
